After more than a decade of supplying hosted telecoms, X-on is delighted to see a rapid upturn in market demand for Cloud Communications. Driven by distributed call centres and fixed/mobile call recording, medium and large corporates are now taking the decision to outsource applications, combine voice and data on single network, and make the task of managing the phone system simpler and cheaper.
Network Operator and Service Provider
X-on is uniquely placed to take advantage of this growth, having become a fully fledged network operator in early 2011. We are already planning to increase call handling capacity six-fold by mid 2012 as clients have the confidence to roll out larger and larger solutions. We will be opening at least one further data centre over the next year. At the same time, X-on enjoys the credibility of experience as a service provider, with a mature product range supporting all aspects of fixed and mobile solutions ranging from the small business to the large distributed call centre with specialist inbound and outbound call handling requirements. The evidence is already in place.
The management team has been expanded to ensure we can support this rapid growth but still be agile enough to respond to customer requirements. A new development office in Ipswich will ensure that forward-looking initiatives for 2012 will be available while our Solutions and Operations teams can focus on timely delivery of projects to customers.
A new service development program X-flow will be launched in 2012 to allow customer’s services to be designed and delivered using a drag and drop graphical interface. Alongside this, X-live will be a real time dashboard that will display all activity on fixed and mobile devices in split second real time, from any fixed or mobile browser. And the requirements for increased recording of calls and data for compliance and monitoring purposes means we are bolstering capacity in our data centres and building on our existing ISO27001 and PCI compliance.
More on these progressive developments in future newsletters, but if you want to know more now as to how X-on can look after all your fixed and mobile communications and reduce costs, give your account manager a call today.

We have created the Solutions Team to moderate the allocation of resources for technical issues that fall between Sales, First Line Support and Product Development. The team will be the customer facing side of our development resource and will ensure our customers are delighted with the quality of our technical service both before and after the implementation of their service.
TobyMace has been appointed Head of Solutions, having managed a similar role at Oracle.
The Development department will focus on the vital role of ensuring that X-on’s delivery platform is both robust and supports new technologies.
Mark Tynan remains Head of Development and takes his team to our new additional office in Ipswich. Though relocated, Development remain a thoroughly integrated part of the company’s customer-focused outlook.
Debbie Hughes has been appointed as Head of Sales, having previously managed a large sales team and call centre operation at Tenpin and been a customer of X-on.
Debbie has been entrusted with delivering the X-on Cloud Telecoms message to the market and ensuring customers requirements are effectively transmitted to X-on Technical.
As part of the restructuring, a new process governing support issues and issue escalation has been released. This will ensure timely resolution of customer issues, while improving customer communication.
Graham Jackson continues his role as Head of Operations.
